Born in South Africa, 1986, Roxy Robinson was a determined and competitive individual from the very beginning. From representing her country in gymnastics at the age of 11, to starting her own business at 17, there was little that could deter Roxy from achieving greatness. Now, founder and CEO of the Roxstar Group and proud nominee of First National Bank’s Businesswoman of the Year in 2017 and 2019 and SMD Businesswoman of the Year in 2018 and 2019 consecutively, Robinson is one of the most connected businesswomen in the industry. Her love for people and life has undoubtedly been the driving force behind her work, but it is Roxy’s ultimate goal to share this passion through the creation of opportunities and unique experiences. Despite the overwhelming success that Roxy has achieved over the years, her desire to instil happiness in people’s lives that has remained consistent throughout. It is through a balance of determination, competitiveness, tenacity, and strong work ethic that has given Roxy the footing to become the proud owner of five successful companies that continue to grow and flourish.

Whilst still in school, a 17-year-old Roxy identified a gap in the market and promptly began to formulate a business model for promotional events. What started out as a few friends modelling and hosting for various events quickly transformed into a business that sourced models with the skills and personalities to interact and engage with clients to sell products . It wasn’t long before the success of her self-made business drove Roxy to pursue further studies whilst exploring entrepreneurial opportunities, all of which would eventually lead her to travel the world, secure international contracts, and build her very own brand from the ground up.


A major turning point in Roxy’s career came about during the Soccer World Cup in South Africa, 2010. Using her self-established network of contacts and connections, Roxy captured the attention of numerous international key players, where she was able to showcase her skills in hosting world-class events and provide VIP services, ultimately putting her business on the map. Soon after, she invested in the creation and building of a personal passion project , Amore Vitae – an online platform that allows students from all parts of the globe to be active members of society by adding value to their lives and providing access to internship and employment opportunities, as well as student benefits in travel and related deals. Over the years, Roxy’s ambition has led to an exponential growth in her business, which shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Here is a brief summary of Roxy’s continuously expanding enterprise:
  • In 2004, Roxy launched her PromoModel agency, which now stands at a network of a whopping 3878 international models and influencers branded as Roxstar Ambassadors as well as the Consulting company   .
  • In 2010, the marketing  company  & The  Concierge business kicked off
  • 2011 saw the opening of the Event company
  • In 2014, Roxy was awarded shares and became the marketing director of a software business for her invaluable IP brought to the partnership
  • In 2017, the Incentive Travel and Corporate travel divisions of the Roxstar Group were launched trading under PAF and Roxstar Consulting 
  • Her most recent venture, a luxury wellness and lifestyle retreat business, was launched in 2019, in partnership with celebrity fitness instructor and motivational speaker, Dolvett Quince known as Tabula Rasa retreats

PERSONAL LIFE                                    
As a Christian, Roxy’s faith leaves an indelible mark in whatever task she takes on. Whilst her love of children certainly speaks to her dream of having a family of her own one day, she finds peace in life’s timing and takes comfort in the belief that everything happens for a reason. Currently, the growth of her business is one of her main priorities, as well as her immediate family, friends and the charitable causes and foundations she supports outside of her company.
